It’s easy get caught in the same style as a designer. We get lazy, happy with what we’re doing, satisfied. Those are not necessarily bad things, but they can lead to not pushing the borders, and that means that we won’t evolve as designers. So let’s break that design mold, shall we?

I’m doing a lot of design, and I though I would share my design process with you guys. It goes from sitting down with the design on a blank sheet of paper, to the zip file delivery - or whatever it might be. Perhaps there’s some tips and pointers that you could use in your own work, or you might just shake your head at the mad Swede’s workflow. Either way, it’s my design process.

Design comes in many forms. Take album artwork, for example. Not only is it the packaging trying to sell the product, but many times, it is also being used to represent the style of the artist’s music on that album. Sometimes, album art can be so bad that people won’t purchase an actual physical copy of the album just because the packaging is horrible.
