@DemoGeek, thanks- I look forward to hearing about your experience with BlueTrip. So far, it's working out quite well for me.

I use BluePrint and quite often run into bumps. When I tried 960 it was even worst (at least for me). I'm going to try BlueTrip. A combination of BluePrint and 960 is exactly what I was looking for. Will try to share my experience with it later.

I know the feeling! It is a really big step to make but once you learn it and figure it out it is a walk in the park.

I don't use CSS Frameworks, but I wrote one specifically for grids: http://csswizardry.com/typogridphy/

I also read Transending CSS by Andy Clarke and really enjoyed it. Overall, i still have some practical problems with that: Any websites that are rich of creativity and individualism don't fit in the grid. I tried 960 Grid, but actually didn't used it in many products.

Usually, you can save document size and therefore parsing time if you do individual coding, but that might be some more work. It's a trade-off between both opportunities. I like to now how my websites reacts if i change one or another part and don't want to rely on general frameworks.

I just finished reading 'Transcending CSS: The Fine Art of Web Design' which talks quite a bit about grid design. I appreciate the links because a lot has changed even in the span of 2 years since the book was written (and it is still very much relevant) and these will serve as good resources as I experiment more with the technique.
