As I've said, this author had the images stored on his server. He removed them, and then never contacted me back. :S

Unsure, the original author will not contact me back. I'm probably going to re-do the entire article with my own portfolio experiences. I'll try to get on it tomorrow. Sorry about this.

I can't get the pictures, either. Any idea when this will be fixed?

Thanks Ree. This author hosted the images on his site for some reason, so his server must be down. I'll move the images over to here as soon as it back up.

You are so right when you give the "freelance work in progress" argument to the lack of personal care. I have build a php/mysql driven web portfolio in the past to help me be as time efficient as possible but I also came to ignore it for weeks and months.

We all have that dream design at the back of our heads but we can never get enough time to fiddle with all the bits an pieces. It's true, beauty is in the details; so is quality.

I'm also thinking of a major portfolio redesign along with new copy and better user experience but other work still crams my already tight schedule.

Best of luck with the new portfolio! I hope it comes out just the way you want it.

Norton Anti-Virus is certainly better then nothing. As far as IE7 goes... truth be told. It was pure curosity. (I still have IE 6)

As far as Outlook goes, I have to blame the bank. They rely so heavily on it, I've come to do the same.

Thanks for the comments Ronald.

I see you're going the "work-related-graffiti" route of Automattic (and others!). Nice touch, though :)

I can definitely relate. Every time I make a significant change to my personal website, I feel the need to update other sites I've designed over the years, and I'm surprised that the reaction has been good at all, seeing as I do it completely without warning. Nice post :D

Don't forget MS Outlook :)

Good post Andrew. I think many of us can relate to putting something out on the web and then regretting it.
