There is a definite balance of function, design and usability. Having clear navigation, prioritizing the information , but also the contact page needs to be clear and concise.

Thanks, Dustin- those are excellent points. And I strongly agree that there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for any website… not if you want a successful site/blog.

User experience is crucial in the total web picture.

I drive all of my traffic from Social Media…More specifically Twitter…the search engines catch on later.

You took the words right out of my mouth! In fact, I wrote some notes about this before work today.

* If you have an art, web design portfolio, or photography site, you have to put photos of your work right up front.
* If you have a restaurant site put your menu and location where visitors will look right off.
* If you’re selling a product, it had better be on the home page.

There is no one size fits all solution. You really have to analyze the content of each site and deal with it on a case-by-case basis.
