Google, MS, and Yahoo Sitemaps
From Techcrunch we have learned that Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google will sideline their search engine war games for a universal sitemap protocol. The protocol will allow you to get your sitemap indexed on all three search engines without submitting to each one. For example, Google Sitemap users will soon have their sitemaps indexed on both Microsoft and Yahoo Search. The protocol is based on sitemaps.org and is xml based.

It actually looks as though one will need to manually submit to each search engine:

The Techcrunch article pointed that that those who use Google Sitemaps already don’t need to do anything. I’m not positive that this implies that you don’t need to submit a sitemap to MS or Yahoo, but I might imagine that if Google has a sitemap listed, that Google might pass that info on to Yahoo and MS as well.

Sorry to double-post, but I did notice that Yahoo Site Explorer (which I wrote about recently) now has an option to submit sitemaps.
You have to authenticate your site, and explore your url. You then click on the link that says “Submit Webpage or Site Feed.” From there, you should be able to submit your sitemap.
