The “current” version (2 years old) behind the link behaves a bit different. The setup is started by going to http://yoursite/install/

From there the test screen starts and everything is like described above.

I use filebrowser since 2004 and I guess that covers it all. It’s still awesome and works like a charm to me. The thing I like about it is the ftp uload and batch thumbnail option. With a lot of other photo gallery scripts you can only upload from within a form where you have to click every individual photo. This setup requires no database and is just a matter of upload script & photo’s, thats it.

jamie, yes actually. It is completely customizable but depending on how much will determine how difficult it will be. @ Will, Thanks! I don’t know why its called Singapore but I think its because it is such a beautiful country.

Thanks for the feedback guys, Mike I had downloaded a version from sourceforge and I suppose you are right there isn’t a test PHP page in root, I apologize about this. Jeff, I was having image hosting problems, I fixed it and host it off my server now. Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the writeup – I’m always interested in tools that will make galleries and other commonly asked-for tools easier to set up and use.

However, I just downloaded Singapore to try it out, and it’s quite different to the screenshots and instructions you set out above. For a start, there is no ‘test.php’ at all in the root Singapore folder. Were you using the latest version for this article?
