I think guest writing is a great way to bring something a little different to your blog. It's nice for readers to have articles that can offer a different point of view, style of writing, approach etc. Definitely should be done in moderation though.

There is nothing wrong with a little "Favor for a favor" but at the same time content is king. The article should be good.

I've had guessed authors blog on Search-This before and it's been a real positive experience. But, all guest bloggers are people I know and trust.

Nice article, Connor :D

I'm actually preparing to write an article about the cons of this myself. I'm not sure I like the idea of inviting someone else to write a post on a blog that has been created exclusively for my personal opinions and happenings — there's just something wrong with that picture.

Other than that, I'm sure it's a great practice. It's just not the way to go for me ;)

I thought guest posting is great despite all the negative posts out there, of course it needs to be done correctly. I won't just pick anybody and when I guest post I will do my best as well. These tips will certainly help me get to a good start in guest blogging arena!

I for one enjoy to read a nice guest article now and then. It helps to add a new writing style to the mix as well as providing new opinions.
