I think you are right about why myspace has become so popular.

However, I think in the coming years the teenagers who loved myspace during their fun/chaotic years will grow out of myspace.

At that point, when those teenagers hit their mid-20's they will only care to keep in touch with their close friends and no longer worry about having some fleeting tie to a person they barely knew in high school or college.

You can see this evolution already starting with the emergence of sites like: www.dudealert.com

Great artical!

I really couldnt agree more. Myspace has a way of addiction. You hate it, but at the same time you cant get enough of it.

Amazing article!!

I couldn't agree more, you stated the real reasons why myspace is so popular, as Mike Caputo, I do like more myspace for music and such, the community is too caothic for my taste though.

Great article!
I'm a firm believer that Myspace is the devil, but at the same time, it could possibly be the greatest thing.

I've witnessed first hand its effects, on many occasions. Im a musician, and our band recently had our first tour in the United Kingdom. If it wasn't for MySpace, our numbers at our shows would have probably been cut in half, or more.
